Recently, in Japan, Godzilla Minus One, which premiered in 2023 and achieved the highest box office earnings in the live-action film category, was broadcast on terrestrial TV for the first time, and it was during this that the surprise announcement of a new Godzilla movie series was made! This was exciting news!

Looking back, Godzilla Minus One was the 30th film in the live-action Godzilla series, released in 2023. It exceeded 7.65 billion yen in box office revenue, ranking No. 1 among Japanese live-action films for 2023!

Not only that, it became the first Asian film to win the Visual Effects Award at the 96th Academy Awards and achieved the feat of winning over 50 Best Awards at international film festivals! In Japan, it dominated eight categories at the 47th Japan Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and has been honored as a particularly memorable entry in Godzilla's film history!
