In celebration of its 30th anniversary...... A new episode and new merchandise have been announced! Ninja Sentai Kakuranger revealed a variety of information at the 30th Anniversary Fan Meeting!
So, let's dive into the announcements made for the 30th anniversary of the popular Sentai series, Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, including new merchandise and a brand-new episode!
For those who may not know, let me briefly explain the story of Kakuranger......
During the Sengoku period, legendary ninjas like Sarutobi Sasuke and Kirigakure Saizo secretly battled against yokai, who aimed to conquer the human world.
After a fierce battle, five ninjas succeeded in sealing away the yokai and their overwhelming energy behind the “Seal Door” given by the three legendary gods.
400 years later, the story is set in the modern era, where ninjas have vanished from the world.
Two modern-day youth, Sasuke and Saizou, are tricked by yokai into opening the “Seal Door,” releasing the yokai back into the world.
Tsuruhime, a girl from a lineage tasked with guarding the “Seal Door,” senses the yokai's revival. She gathers Sasuke, Saizou, Seikai, and Jiraiya, who are descendants of ninjas, to form the “Ninja Sentai Kakuranger” and embark on a journey to reseal the yokai.
This series aired in 1994 with a Japanese-themed blend of ninjas and yokai! And this time, for the 30th anniversary, they held a commemorative event where, believe it or not, a sequel episode to Ninja Sentai Kakuranger was announced!
The original cast returns! “Ninja Sentai Kakuranger: Act Three - Middle-Aged Struggles,” set 30 years after the original series, will be released as an exclusive fan club episode!
In celebration of the 30th anniversary, the original Kakuranger cast is reuniting to create and release a direct sequel! The story will be set 30 years after the original series when the world had once regained peace. But what new crisis awaits these now-grown-up Kakurangers in modern times!?
