[Gavan Infinity] Sculpting the jet-black body stained in darkness and standing as an enemy! Armed with the Gavarion Rifle loaded with the Nega Emorgear of jealousy, Death Gavan makes his new appearance!

When watching hero shows, mysteriously, there are characters who leave a stronger impression than the heroes of justice themselves. Even if their screen time is limited, they change the entire atmosphere the moment they appear on screen. This “TOKUSATSU ACTION FIGURE Death Gavan” is an item that brings exactly such a character to life as a 3D figure. When people hear “Gavan,” many might imagine a space sheriff shining in silver, but Death Gavan appeared to completely overturn that image from the front. Upon seeing him for the first time, many probably felt, “He looks similar, yet he's different,” or “I know him, yet he's completely mysterious.” There is an ominousness to him, like a shadow cast over a symbol of justice, and that very eccentricity is his charm.
The existence of Death Gavan holds a unique background that cannot be brushed off simply with the words “evil space sheriff.” While acting as a black Gavan who aids Emorgy criminals and spreads Nega Emorgear, he is also a dimension transcender like Reiji, depicted as a mysterious being traveling across multiple worlds. Furthermore, he did not reveal his full appearance right from the start. Within the story, his direction was highly memorable, appearing only in light or silhouettes, with consecutive scenes of him acting in his clad-armor (Jochaku) state as his true identity was gradually unveiled. Because of this, the moment his true face was revealed brought an impact far beyond that of a mere enemy character. The very time spent watching while wondering “Who on earth is he?” might have been what made the character of Death Gavan so captivating.
While this product comes in an easy-to-display size with a total height of approximately 160mm, it features over 30 points of articulation throughout the entire body. Hearing just the numbers might make it seem like a mere specification, but for figure lovers, a high number of articulation points is not just a matter of quantity. Standing, posing, turning around—every single action holds meaning. Just altering the angle of an arm slightly can boost the sense of intimidation, and a simple twist of the body can generate the tension of mid-battle. It might be easier to understand if described as a sensation closer to creating a scene rather than just displaying it. Even though it's simply sitting on your desk, an aura that makes you feel like something is about to happen in the next moment is born.
Furthermore, the included weapon parts greatly elevate the charm of this figure. While Death Gavan possesses a striking presence even when standing quietly, the atmosphere completely transforms the moment you have him hold a weapon. A sharpness akin to entering a combat stance is born, and a tension that feels as though he is about to leap at his opponent begins to drift about. For figures of tokusatsu works, what is important is not just the reproduction level, but “what kind of scene you can imagine,” and this product firmly leaves that open space for you. Recreating scenes from the show is great, and you can also enjoy displaying it while imagining a brand-new battle within your own mind.
What is interesting when discussing Death Gavan is the sheer amount of unknown details about him. The setting where his lines are hard to catch due to damaged vocal functions, making it unclear if it's even his original voice, is highly unique. Normally, a lack of information would seem like a drawback, but in his case, it's the opposite. An unsettling feeling as if he is hiding something directly becomes the character's individuality. Furthermore, since he spreads Nega Emorgear through transactions with dark brokers, an image of a person who takes calculated actions emerges, rather than a mere brute-force enemy. Because there are many things we don't know, our imagination expands—that is the fun of Death Gavan.
Heroes are entities that symbolize light, but sometimes, it is precisely because a shadow exists that the light stands out. Death Gavan is exactly that kind of existence. The “TOKUSATSU ACTION FIGURE Death Gavan” is an item that allows you to thoroughly enjoy his creepiness, coolness, and mysterious charm right at your side. Those who feel that just lining up heroes of justice is a bit lacking might find themselves all the more drawn to the presence of this black space sheriff. Once displayed, your gaze will surely turn toward him over and over again.
