S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Scissors: Authentic Armor & Gold Finish with Enhanced Articulation!

Among the numerous Riders appearing in “Kamen Rider Ryuki,” speaking of an existence that radiated a uniquely different presence, some might recall “Kamen Rider Scissors.” Masashi Sudo, while being a detective supposed to protect justice, behind the scenes was dipping his hands into evil acts. Scissors, transformed by him, finally joins the “S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou)” series! The unique design with a crab motif and the cold-hearted character traits that choose any means for goals hold something hard to forget even now, years after its appearance. This product is a finish fans cannot miss, condensing such presence of Scissors into a palm size. @image,image2

What steals eyes first is the exterior carefully expressing Scissors' peculiar silhouette. Minute verification of footage and related materials from those days, pursuing the figure in the show three-dimensionally through sculpting technology conscious of skeletons. Not to mention the unique head mask, down to outlines of armor spreading from chest to shoulders and impressive gold textures are without oversight. Furthermore, exquisite details are applied even to upper arms and abdomen, likely having new discoveries the closer you gaze. Not relying solely on loud decorations, expressing character-ness via the balance of the whole body shows commitment unique to Shinkocchou Seihou.

Once taking the figure in hand, as expected you come to want to decide favorite battle poses, don't you? Scissors this time is devised to maintain natural proportions even when moved, through joint design based on human body structure. What we particularly want to pay attention to is movement of hip joints and ankles. Because it corresponds even to articulation tilting feet inward, postures stepping forward toward opponents and low-braced attack stances become easy to express. Not only displaying and appreciating, but being able to build up a moment in the show with your own hands is the real pleasure unique to action figures, isn't it?

What is indispensable when speaking of Scissors is the summoning machine “Scissors Visor” equipped on the left arm. In this figure, an opening/closing gimmick is prepared, and using the attached PET-made Advent Cards, you can enjoy down to scenes loading cards. Cards are 4 types in total. Furthermore, because replacement wrist parts—3 types for left hand, 4 types for right hand—are attached, it can respond to a wide range of directions from figures holding weapons to movements handling cards. Being able to reproduce such detailed actions by yourself seems to make you spontaneously want to change poses many times.

Of course, armaments unique to Scissors are firmly prepared as well. “Scissors Pinch” in a shape reminiscent of scissors and “Shell Defense,” a shield used for defense, are attached. Both are made conscious of sizes and shapes in the show, and equipping them makes Scissors-like battle styles stand out further. Aggressive stances thrusting Scissors Pinch forward, tense postures protecting the body with Shell Defense, both are freely adjustable. Unique combinations of weapons draw out individuality different from other Riders.

And what expands the fun as a collection is combinations with separately sold “S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Kamen Rider Ryuki” and “Kamen Rider Ouja.” Arranging multiple Riders facing each other lets you produce tension-filled confrontation scenes unique to “Kamen Rider Ryuki.” Not only main characters, but by arranging Riders who left fierce fingernail marks on the story, the worldview of the work should expand more richly. Kamen Rider Scissors holding unique charms. How about appreciating his figure thoroughly and immersing yourself in the nostalgic Rider Battle world while moving him freely?
